Why we’re different

Yes, you can find many of the hearing aids and accessories we supply elsewhere. And we don’t pretend to be the cheapest provider in the marketplace. But if you’re looking for a hearing care service, based in Bournemouth and not just a hearing aid product, Key to Hearing have all the answers. Here are the top 5 reasons to choose us.

1. We’ll come to you, not the other way around

Don’t like the idea of visiting a high street audiologist? No problem! With Key to Hearing, all your appointments will take place in the comfort of your own home. There’s no need to worry about bad weather, making travel arrangements, parking issues or getting to appointments on time. We’ll come to you – and we’re always happy to call round if you’re having any problems.

2. It’s all about you and your individual needs

When you visit your GP or dental surgery, you probably like to see the same practitioner each time. We believe it should be the same with hearing care. So, you’ll always see Keeley every time you make an appointment with us. Learn more about Key to Hearing here. You’ll enjoy one-to-one service and continuity of care, where we understand and take a genuine interest in your individual hearing issues and ear health.

We also offer a choice of hearing aid technologies and a comprehensive aftercare package. Our ongoing service will meet your personal needs and preferences, so you can fully unlock your hearing potential and get the maximum benefit from your devices.

3. We’ll give you the time and attention you deserve

As an independent business, we’re not tied to short appointments at set times. We’ll visit when it’s convenient and tailor the length of your appointment in line with your needs, so you get the best possible care. For example, your first appointment with us will take around 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours, as this gives Keeley the time to fully understand your individual requirements and recommend the best way forward.

After your hearing aids have been fitted, you can rest assured that you won’t be left high and dry. Your aftercare package includes regular reviews and servicing appointments for your hearing aids. And, of course, we’re always at the end of the phone if you have any questions.

4. Your hearing is in safe hands

Different people have varying needs and priorities when it comes to their hearing. Whether it’s day to day conversations with family, talking on the phone or coping with background noise at work, we have the experience to help you hear when and where it matters to you.

Choosing the right dispenser can make all the difference when it comes to hearing aids. Keeley is an award-winning audiologist who has the experience and expertise to help you choose the right technology before fitting and customising your hearing aids for optimum performance. With Key to Hearing, you’re investing in a service, not just a device.

5. We practice Real Ear Measurement

Also known as Probe Microphone Measurement, this forms part of our comprehensive hearing aid fitting process. Real Ear Measurement uses specialist software to precisely align your hearing aids’ amplification levels with your prescription at all sound frequencies. It’s far more accurate than simply relying on the hearing aid manufacturer’s own software.

In fact, tests have shown that using Real Ear Measurement to programme an old-school analogue hearing aid can result in the device outperforming a state-of-the-art digital model programmed using the manufacturer’s recommendations! You can find out more by watching this YouTube video from Doctor Cliff AuD.
